Scholastic Fall Fiesta 2010

Sections:

New!!! Non-Rated Section for new, non-USCF members. Also welcome are USCF players rated below 600. This section is Non-Rated which means that the results will not be submitted to USCF.

Rated section for more experienced players that may not be USCF members and those rated 600 and above. USCF rated below 600 may also "play-up" to this section if they would like the extra challenge. Results from this section will be submitted to the USCF for official rating.

Tournament Rules:
USCF rules used for both sections. TD discretion may be used with younger players. Parents and players are encouraged to have patience and understanding. Click the link below for further detail.

Format:
- USCF rules.
- 5 rounds SS (Swiss System) -  Everyone plays 5 games against players with approximately the same number of wins and losses after each round.
- Game/30, no time delay.
- Sets and boards provided. Please bring chess clocks if you have them.

Round Times:
- December 4th – 10am, 11:30am, 12:45pm, 2pm, 3:15pm.
- Awards ceremony at approximately 4:20pm.

Registration & Entry Fees:
Non-rated section: $5 per participant in advance.
Rated section: $10 per participant in advance (extra fee is required to submit entries to USCF for rating).

Additional $5 per participant late fee or onsite registration from 8:30am to 9:30am.

Register online! Online registration closes Saturday at 8AM.

Completed registration form must be signed by parent/guardian for all entrants!

USCF Membership (rated section only!):
New players and expired USCF members playing in the rated section must pay for USCF membership prior to tournament.
Basic 1 year online membership: Under 13 - $16, u16 - $20, u25 - $24.

New members will immediately receive their USCF ID number upon joining online.

Trophies:

Trophies will be awarded to the top individuals in each section. Other prizes will be handed out.
