San Luis Obispo Chess Club welcomes you!  This site lists regular chess club meetings in San Luis Obispo and Morro Bay. We host tournaments and events all over the Central Coast including Arroyo Grande, Pismo Beach, Atascadero, and Paso Robles. Cal Poly and Cuesta students welcome!

In San Luis Obispo:
Thursday nights from 6:30 to 9:30 at the Carl's Jr. on Santa Rosa St., one block west of Foothill, across from Cal-Poly. Information and directions to San Luis Obispo Chess Club.

Scholastic!
Students are welcome to stop by for casual play at the SLO Target cafe area from 9AM - 10:30ish. Some boards are available but you might want to bring your own set if you have one. This is not a supervised time so plan on sticking around or coordinate with another parent if you want to do some shopping.

In Morro Bay:
Saturdays from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the "Big Board" located on the Embarcadero at the west end of Morro Bay Blvd (go down the stairs). Information and directions to Morro Bay Chess Park.

Online:
San Luis Obispo Chess Club is represented online as Play SLO on www.chess.com. Please sign up for a free account and join the team! Chess.com has a number of great features to keep in touch with the local chess community and is appropriate for adults and older children.

Thank you to our sponsors!
Please let them know you appreciate their support of chess on the Central Coast!
